This week on MyBarcelona, we’re going to a little secret spot buried in Barcelona’s Raval neighborhood – the gardens of the old Hospital de la Santa Creu (the Holy Cross Hospital).
These pretty gardens are a nice break from the relentless pace of the tourist crawl down Las Ramblas, and they’re just a couple minutes away. They’re one of those fun Barcelona things that you happen across and then can’t quite remember where they are for months. It probably took me a good six months to be able to find this Raval gem on purpose!
Adeu, amics!

Looks like a place I would love. Must remember to go there the next time I visit.
Thanks, Darlene! It’s a really lovely place to take a break.

Whoa, nice! I will definitely be coming here one of these days with my kids. So it’s on Carrer Hospital? Hopefully going on a Saturday afternoon won’t be too crazy…everyone’s out!

Yup! If you’re going down Las Ramblas, turn right onto it. It’ll be on your right, and if you hit Juicy Jones (the vegan restaurant), you’ve gone too far. 🙂 Hope you enjoy it!
It seems Barcelona’s Secret Garden is a calm and peaceful place. I would love the place for sure. In my opinion, I guess, certainly you have found a gem. Thanks for sharing the video Jessica, love it.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you like it, it’s one of my favorite little hideaways in the city.
Another great video! We used to live on that road and this little square/park was a real gem!

Thank you very much! I lived around there too for a bit and this park is such a nice space to relax in.
