A little while ago, I posted about all the fun street art that’s been popping up on the street signs in Barcelona. So I decided to do a little more digging to discover more about them, and made an episode of MyBarcelona dedicated to the cheeky graffiti.
Want to know what the message behind these updated signs is? It’s all in the video. 🙂 Enjoy!
By the way, I’m officially off to Prague this week! I can’t wait, as it’s been on my “to travel” list forever. Any suggestions for things to do/see/eat?
Adeu, amics!

The last time I went to Prague I was visiting a friend who lives there so when we went out Saturday night we went to a place called Chapeau Rouge. I had a great time there, I recommend it to you.

Ooh thanks for the suggestion! 🙂 Sounds great, I’ll have to stop by.
Spotted some Invader art as well! Which I am absolutely obsessed with. But I like what this artist did to the street signs, it’s very unique and fun.
Yes, I love Space Invader too! Maybe I’ll have to do an article or video on that next, but I’m not quite as good at spotting those ones. 🙂
Very cool! I love little details like this. Have fun in Prague! My favourite restaurant is U Medvidku, it’s in the Old Town just around the corner from Narodni trida metro station. It’s typically Czech, with hearty food and big beers (and cigarette smoke, unfortunately). Also, definitely check out the little street food stalls on Wenceslas Square (just near Mustek station) which have heaps of good snacks like cheese, sausages and chimney cakes. Enjoy!

Oh that’s fab, thanks Caitlyn! I’ll definitely check those out. I have no idea what Czech food is like, so I’m looking forward to finding out.
Enjoy beautiful Prague! I went last year in February for the first time and fell in love! Take some warm clothes and possibly boots (we had a snow storm!) and try the delicious churroesque chimney cakes called Tdrlnik that you’ll find in the old square by the clock tower…so good!
Ooh thanks very much, Dianne! I’m really excited to go to Prague, everyone has said it’s amazing.
Great post, Jessica. I like things like this because it gives people who might otherwise not notice (or be involved) in things like this a different perspective and (hopefully) allows them to appreciate things they never would have noticed before.
I went ahead and posted about it on freshism.com.

Thanks Ryan! 🙂 I’m surprised how many people have commented that they didn’t notice these, actually. I’ve been obsessed with them for months now!
People just need to learn to stop and look around every once in a while. 🙂

Love this vid. Regarding Prague, we were there a long, long time ago. But we loved chomping on knedlíky (dumplings) and drinking Burčák (young wine) out of plastic cups on the street. However, it’s the wrong time of year for Burčák, unfortunately. But do try smažený sýr (fried cheese), Czech street food at its finest.

Hurray for street art! I just can’t get enough of it either. Think I remember you posting about this not too long ago? Pretty inventive and original this guy. I’ve been to Prague but as it was for a stag do I can’t really remember much. Must go again and see it properly…

I love that people are promoting their businesses on these street signs. As for Prague, one of my favorite spots is Vrtba Garden. It’s a little hard to find, but well worth seeking out and offers great views of the city. Try a fried cheese sandwich from the carts in Wenceslas Square. My favorite restaurant is Kolkovna, it’s not too far from the Jewish Museum. Oh, and for street art you have to see the Lennon Wall. Have fun!

This looks like fun! I’d love to do a tour, do you know if there are any guided street art tours? It’s something that’s taken off quite well in parts of the UK, it’d be great to see it in Spain as well.
Hmm I don’t know of any, but I bet one exists! If not, I see an opportunity… 🙂
Ciao Jessica! I found your blog this summer when was vacationing in Barcelona. You helped me find some wonderful vintage shops! I love these street signs and I became fascinated with them as well. Now you’ve shed some light on who’s behind these awesome designs! Gracias!

I love this video Jessica! As a huge lover of street art myself, I can never pass up the opportunity to capture it! 😀
Thanks, Chanel! I’m such a fan of street art too. 🙂
