As you may have read more than once on my little blog, I’m still adjusting to the shock of having actual seasons. I grew up in southern California in a city that’s basically the opposite of Narnia – you know, always summer and never winter. While I’m not a fan of the cold winter months*, I am coming around to the idea of fall. It’s pretty incredible watching the city turn dark gold and deepen into bronzed red tones, especially when the whole thing is so novel and exciting.
*(Brace yourselves, winter is coming….which means a bit of weather whining will be sure to show up here shortly!)
This weekend, I was strolling around the Parc de la Ciutadella (working on my upcoming project, which I’ll have more about on Friday) and was pleasantly surprised by how pretty the park is in the fall. Here’s a look at how lovely Barcelona’s fall season is.
Thanks for joining me on my mini-trip through the Parc de la Ciutadella, and don’t forget to check back this week on Friday for the details on what my project is all about!
Besos!

Beautiful. Wish I was there!

Thanks! It’s lovely this time of year. 🙂
These are so pretty! I’m very jealous of your sunny weather, it’s been so cold and rainy here, I always wish we had a beautiful autumn like other countries do, but every year it’s the same old cloudy, rainy, dark weather. Boooo 🙁
Aww cold and rainy is so depressing. 🙁 Hope it stops raining soon!
How lovely! I never really think of Barcelona being cold, to be it’s forever a summer destination 🙂 I’m with you, as an Aussie living in the Netherlands I can’t get used to the proper cold. I thought a maximum of ten was a freezing day, what I’d give for that now! Yesterday we had our first zero degree morning for the winter… eek!

Uff that sounds awfully chilly! I can’t believe it’s already 0.
It doesn’t get THAT cold in Barcelona, but I did have a guy from the Netherlands once tell me that it felt much colder here than in Amsterdam because of the humidity. Brr!
Indeed it is quite lovely! I was struck by seeing palm trees with fall colors. weird but wonderful!!
Yeah, I loved the mix of the palm trees and the orange colors. Definitely unusual!
I also love fall, trees shows a interesting variety of colours. By the way, your pics are great.

Words actually can’t describe how beautiful Barcelona looks like. CHARMING! I wish I was there. The park would be a great place for me to do some yoga :).
